Why Are You Not Laughing?

By November 12, 2018Blog, Daily Declarations

I recorded this video a couple of weeks ago. It was the day before I was flying to Aruba for vacation. My intention was to send this email DURING my vacation. And then I thought about ALL OF THE TIMES I’ve told my clients, when they are going on vacation, DO NOT WORK. LOLOL.

And here I was, about to violate the mandate I give to others. So, instead of sending you this email two (2) weeks ago, DURING MY VACATION, I decided to lay on the beach, truly unwind, and fully allow my brain NOT TO THINK about WORK or work related activities.

Now, even though the below video was recorded two (2) weeks ago, my message to you is still the same. We must be committed to the POWER and NECESSITY of LAUGHING! It’s so important to our mental, spiritual, emotional and PHYSICAL well-being. My 11 year old daughter LOVES this App that showcases random, miscellaneous facts and information. And last week, she shared with me that we can BURN 10-40 calories from LAUGHING!!!

And yes, I totally understand, that right now in the world, there’s not a lot to laugh about. We have some very serious issues that need our attention. I get that…

But in our daily lives and in our daily routine, there are PLENTY of moments that we can choose to laugh.

In order to Live In Your POWER, you must LAUGH!!! So many of us are waiting to go on vacation to relax and laugh versus creating space in our daily lives to laugh, laugh, and laugh some more.

The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays can be very depressing and lonely. We must be intentional with our thoughts and make a commitment to positive thinking and uplifting thoughts.

I am not telling you to unrealistic or live in a fantasy world. But my coaching clients can attest, even in the darkest, most painful places in our lives, we can always find positive things happening, as well.

And if you are open, even through the pain, you can find something to laugh about.
